Eligibility Criteria for issuing Electrical License:-

An Electrical Contractor license shall be granted only to a person or firm, who has/have in his/their possession, the instruments necessary for carrying out the testing of electrical installation. They must have in his/their employment a person holding Certificate of Competency Class-I and two workmen holding Certificate of Competency Class-II and also have a proper showroom/office in a marketing center or a place easily accessible to the public.

Filing Procedures:-

Following documents are required for completion of file:-

(i)Application on a prescribed Form 'D' marked as Annexure 'F'.
(ii)Proof of occupancy (tenancy/ownership) of the showroom/office and Electricity bill etc.
(iii)Details of the testing instruments such as megger, voltmeter, etc. along with their purchase receipt.
(iv)Details of the electrical materials in his possession (stock)  and their purchase receipts.
(v)

Consent letters from the persons holding Certificate of Competency Class-I and Class-II in the employment of the applicant.

Details of Equipment


Fee Structure for the License:-Total charges including Government Fees=65,000+GST

The validity of the License:-The Certificate will be valid for 25 years from the date of issuance of the certificate.

Processing Time:-
The complete process to obtain the license will take 1.5 months-2 months from the date of providing complete documents as required.
